Millentic’s mission is to free commerce operations from manual work and engineering dependence — by giving operators direct, intuitive access to the full power of their data.
The problem
Global commerce operators, including digital, e-commerce, and retail businesses, have long struggled to scale their operations. The usual obstacles are endless manual spreadsheets, hard-coded applications and integrations with large up front investment, as well as overpromising all-in-one platforms that require all or nothing commitment while failing to meet specific customer needs.
Such obstacles lead to dependency on individuals that slows down operations, high-risk costly system development, and paralysing vendor lock-in. These inefficiencies in global commerce cost over €100 billion annually. Our way, from the start, for the long run
The company was founded as Scratx in 2023 by Joakim Olsson (CEO, ex-Adyen) and Daniel Heinmert (CTO). Two middle-aged Swedish dudes with big ambitions — to build great products, and the kind of company we’d want to work at ourselves, starting from scratch.
We’re not chasing headlines, mega-valuations, or any startup template. We aim to solve real, painful problems in global commerce data infrastructure — problems we’ve seen firsthand across thousands of customer interactions.
We’re committed to building the only way that makes sense to us: obsessed with customer experience at every touchpoint, and alongside a team of A-humans we genuinely appreciate. Our team brings deep domain insight across commerce, payments, systems architecture, platform scalability, and go-to-market.
We’re also first-time founders, navigating a steep learning curve with plenty of bumps along the way. Luckily, we’re not in it to go boom or bust. We’re in it to build something our customers love — and we love building. We ship fast, but build to last. We avoid shortcuts, and refuse to be cornered or distracted by external pressure. Working hours aren’t a metric — they’re time well spent. Output, taste, and customer experience matter more than anything — more than ever.
